Community Club (V.C.C.)

Welcome to Vejar!

It is my honor to be back at Vejar Elementary serving as your Community Club president once again. Whether this is your first, fifth or tenth year at Vejar, we want to welcome you and share what Vejar Community Club is all about. Our mission is for families, community members and staff to work together to fundraise with the goal of providing exceptional educational experiences for our students.

We are an independent charitable organization and do not belong to any state or national affiliation. This makes us different than a PTA, and because of this, we keep all of the funds raised for our school without paying state and national dues. In a nutshell: The more we raise, the more we have to support our students and teachers.

Each year we strive to grow our club. It is important for you to know that every year your child attends Vejar; you automatically become a member of the Vejar Community Club (VCC). We encourage you to participate in our activities: volunteer, donate, or come and enjoy the fun.  We have a lot of great things planned but need your help. We can always use support both in and behind the scenes. You may be able to show up physically to help, have an affiliation with a business that supports our school, or you may have a skill that can help us to fulfill our mission. In whatever capacity it is that you can help, WE WELCOME YOU!!!

This is an excellent opportunity to become a part of your child’s education and know what is happening on campus. Research shows that children do better in school when their parent/s or guardians are involved, and they LOVE seeing you around campus!

Please consider getting involved. Some of our activities include: Book fairs, Family Nights, Fifth Grade Party, Round Up (fundraiser), Harvest Festival, Booster-thon, Literacy Week, Open House, Red Ribbon Week, Science Night, See’s Candy Sales, Snack Sales, Staff Appreciation, Summer Reading, T-shirt sales, Vejar Track, Yearbook, and general volunteers (to assist when needed as available).

It is never too early or too late to join!

If you have questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]

We look forward to meeting you,

Melissa Hanson
