Dear Vejar Families,
Welcome to a new school year! I am honored and excited to serve as the Vejar Community Club President and to partner with you in making this year a wonderful experience for our students, families, and staff.
At Vejar Elementary, we believe that a child's success is strengthened when families and schools work together. The Vejar Community Club is dedicated to building those connections by bringing families, community members, and school staff together to support enriching educational opportunities and create memorable experiences for our students.
As an independent charitable organization, we are unique in that every dollar raised stays right here at Vejar Elementary. Because we are not affiliated with a state or national organization, there are no outside dues or fees. This allows us to maximize our fundraising efforts and direct resources where they matter most: supporting our students, teachers, and school community.
We invite every family to become part of the Vejar Community Club. Whether you have a few hours to volunteer, a special skill to share, connections with local businesses, or simply want to attend an event and cheer on our students, there is a place for you here. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen our school and enrich the educational experience for all children.
Getting involved is also one of the best ways to stay connected to your child's school journey. Research consistently shows that students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally when families are actively engaged in their education. Just as importantly, children love seeing their families participate in school activities and celebrations. Your presence sends a powerful message that their education is important.
Throughout the year, there will be many opportunities for families to connect, volunteer, and have fun together, including: Book Fairs, Family Festival, Literacy Week, Open House, Red Ribbon Week, Staff Appreciate Week, Round UP Fundraisers, Snack Sales, Yearbook creation and many more volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
Whether you're joining us for a single event or becoming a regular volunteer, your involvement makes a meaningful difference.
Most importantly, we want every family to feel welcomed, valued, and connected. It is never too early or too late to get involved. Together, we can create a supportive and vibrant school community where every child feels encouraged to learn, grow, and succeed.
