Welcome to First Grade, Room 12 Families!

My name is Ms. Alvarez, and I am thrilled to join the wonderful community at Vejar Elementary as a first-grade teacher. This is my first year here, and I am eager to get to know all of the students and families I have been blessed with. Here's a little insight into who I am as an educator: I am dedicated to creating a classroom where every child feels valued and inspired. My approach centers on recognizing and celebrating each student's unique qualities, providing individualized support to help them succeed. My goal is to help students develop independence and a love for learning by nurturing their curiosity, confidence, and sense of ownership over their education. Together, we'll build a supportive community that empowers each child to reach their fullest potential with confidence and joy. I look forward to creating a strong sense of partnership and community with all of you this school year.
