Study flip chart vocabulary words, definitions and examples. I listed them below in case you lose your flip chart.

-Properties of Rocks: Rocks are made of minerals
-Property: a trait that tells you something about an object (ex: color, texture, luster, hardness)
-Color: Rocks can be many colors (ex: dark gray, black, gold, silver, bright blue...)
-Texture: The way an object feels (ex: rough, bumpy, smooth, spiky, sharp, slick, slippery)
-Luster: How a rock or mineral reflects light (Ex: dull, metallic, shiny)
-Hardness: How easily a rock can be scratched or broken (Ex: Hard, soft, easily ground up)

Big Family History Project:
Choose to write a final draft journal entry about what it was like to live a day in soemone's life 100 years ago

Create a family history storyboard with a timeline, ancestor interview, photos, artifacts and family tree.

Ancestor Interview: Interview your oldest living ancestor. Type up their responses and print if possible. If you do not have computer/printer access you may write it by hand but must turn in a neat final draft.
Interview Questions:
1. When were you born?
2. What was it like when you were young?
3. Who was a part of your family?
4. Where did you live and what was your house like?
5. What kinds of jobs did people do that are different from jobs now?
6. How were clothes different from now?
7. How was school different for you back then than it is for me now?
8. What kind of toys did you play with?
9. How did you get food?
